Title: SOLOMONIC ALTAR Description: The beautiful and captivating altar of the La Seo Cathedral in Zaragoza, Spain in a beautiful light. The church is part of the World Heritage Site Mudejar Architecture of Aragon. The Solomonic Column is a helical column characterized by a spiraling twisting corkscrew-like shaft. It’s concept is derived from the biblical descriptions of the two columns, Boaz and Jachin, which famously flanked the entrance to the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem. They were used during the Byzantine empire and later as a feature in Baroque Architecture. (Our high-quality prints)
